Actual Bitmob Spotlight

Bitmob community: This is your final reminder for the Bay Area Bitmob Meet-Up, happening Friday night in San Francisco. If you're in the area, come and shoot the breeze with Bitmob editors, community members, and other affiliated riffraff. If you're not, don't worry: fellow Pixel Revolters Derek Lavigne and Jeff Grubb will be diligently recording the goings-on for your enjoyment. We'll have that content up next week.

When: Friday, July 10th, 7pm

Where: Buckshot Bar and Gameroom

Hope to see you there!

(And yes, we've commissioned an actual Bitmob spotlight for the event. Demian said he wouldn't come unless we had one.)

The cheapest flight over there is about 800$! Oh well. I know Andrew Hiscock is from Canada. Maybe the two of us will have a Bitmob meet-up ourselves! We'll post pictures and everyone will be jealous! 8)

We'll be giving out a few random prizes tonight. Nothing exciting -- just extra stuff that we get from the game companies. Someone come up with a good system for this!

System: When you meet someone ask them there name and write it on an index card that is numbered. keep it till a certain time at night. then randomly pick out of the index cards the winners.

As I posted on Twitter: "The @Bitmob meet-up = huge success. We're completely humbled by all the awesomely fun people who came to our little shindig. Thanks!" And for those who couldn't make it: Derek snagged a ton of video, while Jeff busied himself grabbing interviews and taking embarrassing photos. Look for that stuff next week. And if you're bummed you missed out on any prizes, be on the lookout -- the Rhythm Heaven regifter (ahem, me) may strike again!
