Question: What do you get when you cross Braid, World of Goo, and Plants vs. Zombies?

Answer: The Clash of the Indie Titans!

Welcome to the fourth edition of the Bitmob Game Club. Alex R. Cronk-Young's Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine series has drawn to a close, and it's time to choose a new game for Game Club number four. And this time, the game selection is truly epic.

We have three games up for consideration: Braid, an indie darling created by kung fu master Jonathan Blow; World of Goo, a game by 2D Boy that has more character than Disney World; and Plants vs. Zombies, PopCap's inspired foray into the real-time strategy genre.

As a slight departure from the three prior Game Clubs, this round's choices actually cost a little bit of money. But don't worry. Since I'm not participating in the actual editorializing, I'll let you in on a little secret: They're all worth the price.

Cast your vote for the game you want to see reviewed by your fellow Bitmobbers in the comments below, or, better yet, throw your name in the hat to participate in the Game Club itself!

Hit the jump to find out more about participation guidelines.

1. I'll announce the winning game next Sunday, and email the participants for the fourth edition that day. From then on, we work on a weekly basis. The following Friday will be the due date for your first week's draft, and I will post them all on Sunday. This will give me Saturday to edit your entries.

2. If you cannot commit to three to four weeks of playing through a section of a video game and briefly writing about it, then please do not enter. I don't want to be bothered with having to send you countless email reminders. It's not too hard to get a submission in, but it's even easier to not sign up if you don't have the time.

3. If you can't keep up, you will be pulled out of the Game Club after missing two successive Friday deadlines.

So there you go. Sign yourselves up and vote on the game in the comments below!

I'll go ahead and throw my vote to Braid. While I'm at it, I'd love to participate, so put my name in that hat too.

Since I already own Braid and need an excuse to get myself to finish it, I'll throw my hat in the ring as a vote and volunteering

I have Braid for the 360. I suppose this is me being all "I wanna write more" and voting for Braid.

I vote Braid as well. If you're cool with me doing another Game Club, I'd really love to.

Well, I'm going to go against the norm and vote for World of Goo, since I already own it. I won't be volunteering, but I look forward to reading it.

I'm going to say Braid. Also I'm gonna pass the controller for this Game Club and let somebody else play; I've already done two in a row. I'll toss my name in the hat for 5th edition. I'll be playing along though James, so if someone can't do a piece one week then I don't mind filling in for them.

I'm very tempted to participate in the next round because I own two of the three games on the list (sorry PvZ, but somehow I'm not sold). I guess I'd lean towards World of Goo because I've barely played it, whereas I have already finished Braid once before.

@Daniel So are you participating. And are you voting for World of Goo? I'm not clear.

For all the buzz, I never tried Braid. This is good an excuse as any to hop on that.

I have both World of Goo, and Plants vs. Zombies. Being the cheap guy I am, I'm a tad lazy to purchase Braid. I vote for World of Goo, because I haven't beaten it because of unforgiving cutesy physic-based action.

Um, on second thought James it's better if I don't. Got a lot going on right now. I'd still "vote" for World of Goo if that matters.

Hmm, this is a much harder choice than I anticipated. On the one hand I want to say World of Goo because it's just so good. But on the other hand Plants vs Zombies would make for interesting reading, I think. Braid is the obvious choice, as it would be easy to split it up into different sections. I'm only going to say Braid because I never played it, which also means I'm tossing my name into the hat. But I think the other games should be done, too. At least at some point in the future.

@Cosmo I think that all three will make for some good reading. Time-based jokes, zombie-jokes, and jokes about balls...of goo. How can that not be a win/win no matter what?

World of Goo! I have read fartoo much on the other two options.

I vote Braid, though I'd also be enthusiastic about plants vs zombies. I also wouldn't mind participating in this 'bitmob community' you all seem to have going on when I'm not paying attention. I love gameclub stuff and have plenty of things I wouldn't mind saying about any of these games. Though i'd have to actually find a way to get past that really hard level in world of Goo to do that one. Don't know if I want an excuse to do that.

Played and loved all of them. I've heard less said about World of Goo than the other two so I'd appreciate discussion on it. More than that, I'd love an excuse to play it again so I'll join the club if you'll have me.

I will vote for World of Goo, because it's the only one I can play. And I already own it! While I got the boot from Cave Story, I'm put my hat in again to write on this one. (Because I've played most of it and I can't see myself missing the deadlines this time, and I am not busy with countless hours of overtime at work, yay!)

I vote for Plants Vs Zombies and throw my name into that hat. Thank you. PS: They are indeed all worth your money.

I'm in to participate, if possible. I have all the games, but would vote for World of Goo since that's the one I have yet to beat ;)

I'm gonna have to vote for Braid, and while I'm at it I'm going to try and contribute this time.

I only own Braid and I'm too poor to afford World of Goo right now. Due to recent events I have nothing but time for games too! Well, that and work... So I vote for Braid and I would like to participate.
