As quite possibly the only real Sicilian on this site (?) I would like to say one thing only... Mafia? There isn't any Mafia. Mafia is a dirty word created by the establishment to keep hard working Italians digging ditches and cleaning dishes. When men come together in groups for the betterment of their brothers who in turn also happen to originate from Italy, the establishment wants to brand us as "Mobsters" cause they don't understand our customs and ways of life. Would the establishment be so insensitive to African Americans and call groups of them living and or congregating near and with one another tribes? I think not. We are just hard working people trying to find our place in the American tapestry and realize the American dream of free trade and commerce so that our bambinos might have a better life then their fathers and fathers before them. Thus I feel I have adequately explained to everyone that there is no mob. I hope we can put this thing to rest once and for all,lest I be forced to explain this harder to you.
