Some of you all know me and then others will be like who is this guy. After being the 6th person to comment on the first article on May 5th of 2009 it has been a wild year I think. Now I may not be the best writer here, but I would love to think I am getting better even if I am just dreaming. If you continue reading you will see how I saw this site over the past year.
On May 5th 2009 I was at work like normal and took a break to see if a new SoreThumbs post went up. After reading anything new I did my normal check to see if Bitmob went active. To my surprise it went active and then I did what any new person I hope does and signed up. From here I made comment number six or comment number four if you don't include Dan Hsu or Demian Linn's comments. From this start I posted my first article the next day.
Many of you here from day one will know about a week or so in to the websites creation would have thought Lance and I were joined at the hip. Lance and I used the Latest comments section to have chat sessions on almost every article that was posted during all times of the day. During these months we welcomed every new member and read a lot of original pieces from some great inspiring writers. Even though the two of us always commented we just loved the gaming discussions we had time for. Something new always made us think and we tried to get others involved in the discussions as well.
As the months went on more and more writers started appearing. More articles that were great reads came in by different authors. From here real life took over half way through the first year and even though I wasn't able to comment as much. I always try to read everything and love it.
Right now I really see two things one great and one unknown factor. When this site first started everyone wrote about anything and everything. It all came out original and it was great to read. Now the great thing is writers giving other writers a writing challenge which helps everyone. I know I can't speak because my writing is not that good and if you say what about those interviews. The answer is I have been told by many people over the years Interviews are a whole lot easier then actual writing which you all do so great.
There are many of you I chat with via Twitter, e-mail and other social networking outlets. Sorry if I left your name out, but this would take up to much space. Each one of you have made me see things in different light and I am great full for the opportunity to get to know you all.
I would love to thank every writer, reader and lurker that comes to this site every day. It is the 2nd site after I read e-mail in the morning and the last site before I go to bed. Yes, I read it in between the day and wish I could comment and be more active like back in the day. Happy Gaming and Congratulations Bitmob on the One Year Anniversary.
