I got a few minutes of limited time on this computer to go over some thing I want to talk about.  Really since the last random topic discussion my thoughts have been thinking about the RTS game.  Yes that Oddworld RTS game that didn't come to life for us gamers.

As a fan of RTS games thanks to now closed developer Ensemble Studios I think it is only right to talk about this game.  Watching clips  for the game Hand of Odd makes me think about many things and what could have been.  So lets start by watching some trees grow.

Seeing the trees grow you I get a sense of feeling for the enviroment and life.  Not many games will make you grow your own resources, but then again I like this idea.  Now lets see how to chop some wood and what they may use to do it with.

Even though I think when you get to the top of these trees it takes more time.  I am still over all excited that the worker can handle his own and it does not take long.  By today's RTS standards this procedure would appear slow in a fast paced game.

After scowering youtube I found a unique video clip of this pre/beta game which makes me wonder lots of things.  Please watch the short video before reading on.

Now that you watched the video you may have been intrigued if your an RTS player to want to play this.  If you think about it on one side your destroying the land and on the other you are preserving the land.  This would be one of the games that would push the envelope and make us open our eyes to our own world. 

In doing this I hope one day this will come off the shelf and updated with the Unique spin the folks at Oddworld Inhabitants has put in there games.
