Mobcast This week the Bitmob crew welcomes John Davison to the show to talk games, magazines, and plenty more. A few other notes: The psychedelic pop music you hear near the beginning and end is from Robert Ashley's band, I Come to Shanghai, whose album just came out. Also, the excellent community question came from reader Chris Bullers, whose name we couldn't find during taping!

All this time I did not think Robert Ashley was musically inclined due to his love for Rock Band. So the question really is does Robert Ashley do Country Music?

I haven't listened to it yet, as it's currently downloading, but judging by the cast, I think this will be a good Mobcast! Ughh... god damned unintentional rhyme.

Mobcast would be one of my favorite gaming podcasts if they would raise the production values. I'm sure it's a money thing right now since they just launched the site, but it can get annoying. In the mean time they need to do what they can minimize the issues. Like Shoe has to know he is soft spoken so he needs to make sure he speaks up or sits closer to the mic. content is top notch, production is lacking

On Infamous: I won't defend the characters at all, but the big twist in the ending was foreshadowed throughout the entire game. In fact, the very first boss tells you the twist.

I can vouch for Megan Fox being a gamer. I used to work at the Virgin Megastore on Sunset. She and her boyfriend at the time(Brian Austin Green) used to come in fairly often and buy games. One time she asked me why the online matchmaking for Lost Planet sucked so bad and if I liked Gears online.

If you want to talk about underrated series, I suggest The King of Fighters. It never reached the masses quite like Street Fighter did, perhaps because they were making a new game every year when Street Fighter was just biding its time (or making Alpha & EX games). With that much turnover and the high cost of the Neo Geo, I think precious few folks really explored these games. KOF XII is coming soon to consoles and even though it looks incredible I doubt a tenth of the people who bought SFIV will try it. That's a shame, because this is a gorgeous 2D fighter.
