Modern Warfare 2: The end

The heroes of yesterday, are the museum exhibits of today.

Games today are very realistic and we find ourselves being emotionally effected by them.  The images here are real, just like the people in them, and I know that photos like these inspired people at Infinity Ward to take a risk and bring to light how "valuable" these sons and daughters, mothers and fathers are to the government war machine. The game reminded me that these are not invulnerable super heroes, they are the everyman, the neighbor, the friends......they are me and I was, for a brief period, them.

Wow, emotional pics. I watch Band of Brothers every Rememberence Day (Memorial Day in the US) and it made me realize that although the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are completely wrong - the soldiers of today are no different than the "heroes" who fought in WW2. I remember David Jaffe and Konami each were going to make a game based on war that would evoke the emotion of the player, but from what I have read about MW2 the last few days, it seems Infinity Ward has done just that.
