My Favorite Game Podcasts

I'm a follower of many game podcasts.  A few include Rebel Fm, IGN podcasts, all the 1up podcasts, Giantbomb, the Cag-Cast , Geekbox, and the Player One Podcast. Feel free to recommend others. I feel like podcasts really help earn a website some readers. Personally, I feel like podcasts are slowly replacing radio. I feel like game podcasts also help facilitate debates among the gaming community. They can also help give underappreciated games some well needed publicity. I really like the format Bitmob is using for their podcast because each member brings a topic to the table and all of the podcasters debate it. I hope you guys stick to this format and maybe incorporate some reader topics in. I feel like more developers should have podcasts just so that more people would be aware of what they have coming out. Anyway, tell me what you think about this.

I like 2Old2Type Radio .. Just cause they coined a phrase after me kinda. "You could be as famous as ATC" Also kinda new, but the main guy speaks in a country tone - Gamerswithkids only up to episode 8

Robert Ashley's A Life Well Wasted is the best internet radio show on the internet. Rebel FM is losing Its steam. Brad from Giantbomb is great. 1UP podcasts are good, but I REALLY miss Mark, Luke, and even Shane. And I have to give a shout out to What They Play, John Davison's podcast. It has some awesome intro music, and as a new Father, I feel I should be listening to it. Team Fortress 2 fans should check out Control Point.

Though short, I enjoy Sessler's Soapbox.

I think I'm going to make a top 5 list of my favorites next week, but for now I highly recommend Out of the Game. It's really badly promoted. I seems almost like a secret, but its the best podcast secret ever. Robert Ashley, N'Gai Croal, Shawn Elliott, Jeff Green, and Luke Smith make up what is practically a dream team of hosts. Every episode is unfocused, choatic but still manages to be informative, thoughtful, and hilarious in ways that few other podcasts achieve. It's just the product of putting interesting people in a room to talk about interesting stuff--if you want weekly news and game reviews (schnore schnore) look elsewhere.

Of course, the classic Brodeos are awesome, along with Crash TV (made by the makers of Burnout Paradise), Gamers With Jobs, and the PC Gamer Podcast before Greg Vederman left.

@Lance thanks for talking about what they play. Going to listen to this while I BBQ today. Will blog about it tomorrow on my thoughts.

the first bitmob cast was so good, i listened to it twice. each topic presented provoked discussion that felt not just interesting, but meaningful, at least in regards to games. it is my new favorite podcast, up there w/ out of the game, geekbox, retronauts & good grief.

For Final Fantasy Fans, I have have to plug the FXN Final Fantasy Podcast. They deal with all things Final Fantasy but focus on XIII. One of the Hosts is from my Hometown!
