Earlier today Sony announced that it would be removing the slim model of the PS3 because only two of the units sold. The general public reply to this has been one of confusion to the existence of the PS3 slim.

John Carpenter, long time Sony product collector is one of the two people to have purchased the gaming system.

“It wasn’t as easy as walking down to game stop and buying one,” Carpenter says, “no stores knew about it so I had to actually book a flight to china, and bribe a Sony factory worker for one.”

The second PS3 to be sold was to Avery Deming, a store clerk for a Houston Texas best buy, who claims to only own the PS3 slim by complete accident.

“I was in the back of the store when the delivery guy dropped off a package from Sony,” stated Deming, “I open it and to my surprise is a box labeled ‘PS3 Slim’. I figured it was just some joke and threw the package away, sure it was worthless.”

The Houston Best Buy later charged Deming’s for the PS3 because he damaged the merchandise.

“It’s actually really great,” says Deming, “And the store only charged me 150 bucks for this. I don’t see why these things aren’t flying off the shelves.”

When confronted with a questionnaire about the products failure, Howard Stringer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and President of Sony replied, “Wait, we actually released that thing? I didn’t even know we where even in the gaming business any more.”

NPR representative, Joyce Miller had this to say, “Sony just really needs to set them selves straight and get there shit together. My guess is that even after this their just going to try out another ‘new age’ media format,”

While the original ‘Fat’ PS3’s have been failing to sale since their release, this isn’t the first time Sony has utterly failed to make a product known to the public. A resent example is the PSPhone.

A Sony spokesmen commented on the hybrid devise, “Well, we had them all ready to go and everything,” He said, “But, do you know how much of a hassle it is to ship out a new product, we just kinda figured, well, fuck it.”

Stinger says, “Shit, I guess we really need to market our products better, huh?” He acclaimed, “That’s going right on my to do list. Just under PS3 price drop, and make sure the next version of the PSP has 2 analog sticks.”
