What 43 Million Kills really shows

So XBLA was first to hit the 43 Million kill mark on 7-15 for Battlefield 1943.  I say congrats to who ever get that kill due to them getting swag from Dice or EA.  Now really comes the interesting part.

43 Million Kills took less then 7 full days to complete

Over 6.1 Million Kills happened  each day for these 7 days

Per hour there were about 255,952 kills in these 7 days

Really this is impressive for a company saying they underestimated what they were advertising.  For one they advertised a cheap game for everyone to pick up and play. Then they show boated it for months on saying how great it will be and take you away from your disc shooter games.

Even though a community goal is a type of gimmick.  I think companies will look at this and realize people do work together to complete a common goal.  Does what I say mean we will see more of this?  No, but I hope we do in Fat Princess cause my hopes are high for that game.

Now with the success of the 43 Million Mark.  I would not be surprised if they released another map later on once the hype dies down with another kill count.  It only seems fair they would do something like this.  As I refuse to buy this game and wait for Fat Princess I am glad everyone else I know is enjoying this game.

Noby Noby Boy is another example of a game with community goals...everyone is working together to 'grow' the girl large enough to reach other planets in the solar system. That's not going so hot so far, though.

I have not looked into that game at all. Guess there are more goals then just killing things.

My goal is to get make my princess the size of the Hindenburg. And speaking of Noby Noby Boy...boy was that game disappointing.

Isn't that more than 4,000 kills per minute? Holy crap! And to think that this game had server problems during its first days...imagine how much bloodshed would've been unleashed if it ran well at launch!
