Worst Cancellation of 2009: Six Days in Fallujah

Konami showed a considerable lack of a pair when they canceled Six Days in Fallujah, a game about the ballsiest profession on earth. Where most modern day shooters substitute real life locations and conflicts with something vaguely Middle Eastern, Atomic Games were developing a title with a time and place. Heck, they were even in the title! While we've yet to see the game, there is incredible potential in the idea, with possible commentary on modern day conflicts and the human players that propel them. We may still see the game, if the developer finds a publisher (they still mention the game actively on their website), and then we'll see whether they made good on the potential.

Seconded. I would really like to hear the rationale of this decision. I always imagined publishers liking free press, but I could see how some aspects of Six Days in Fallujah development would make this too controversial for the suits. Has Take Two ever made noises about picking the title up?
