The video game industry has changed a lot in the past several years and one of the biggest changes is the ever growing expanse of online play. When players venture into vast internet to play their favorite games online, they're faced with a choice. A choice that often proves to me more difficult than it seems on the surface. That choice will reflect your online identity and share to others a little bit about your personality. What I'm talking about (if the title didn't give it away already) is your online handles.

What I will attempt to do in this post, is dive into the minds of our fellow gamers to possibly gain insight on how the decision making process unfolds as they create their online handles. Follow me as I quantum leap into other peoples minds.

Sweet finally got this awesome new MMO installed, ready to fire this bad boy up and make my soon to be epic character. Lets see, warlock or mage...hmm.... I think I'll go with warlock. Well I guess it's about time I register so I can play online. I wonder if my normal name of LonelyWolf is available. Ugh, it's not. Figures. It would be my luck that there is some other lonely wolf out there. Great, now I have to think of something else to go with wolf, because well wolves are my everything. SensitiveWolf, nah that's too gay. Crap this is hard, it's really annoying when someone else takes  your name. How about WarriorWolf, alteration for the freaking win! Yea that will do, shows my tougher side and still keeping to my love for the blue eyed wolves of the wild.

LOL! This is going to be so awesome. Nah wait, I need to make this less obvious, maybe I should change it to be, RearEntry69. LOLOLOLOLOLOL omg that's so good. I should have my own TV show man! Ohhh man, this is the best name I've ever come up with. BlazedUp247 yeeeeea man! Smoking up and telling everyone I know that I do makes me beyond trendy and cool. I want people to know my rebellion and I want everyone to know that I play high, because I can. What the, that's taken? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu$@#! Let me try LightMeUp420, yea that will work.
