PSO had a basic formula of making your hero, adventuring, and collecting loot. That was pretty much the premise for the entire game. Everybody who has played PSO has said the same thing about it: It was awesome. However, when you look at PSU's structure, it's too complex for something so little in return. You had to level up all your skills by spamming the Y/Triangle button for hours. You had to synthesize items in your room which could actually end up destroying your items if it failed (unlike the mag where you could feed that thing anywhere --- and get character stats in return).
I'm also on board with the idea of scrapping the monthly fee entirely. Phantasy Star needs to return to it's simplistic values. Hell, even giving the fans a Phantasy Star V would be okay too."
