"yea after reading your comment and your link I guess it is due to being a collector at heart. From beanie babies to pokemon cards, whatever was in that could make me money I collected. And yes trophies and achievements do the same thing for me. It makes me feel like I got the most out of my game, as well as tells others that I either have no life or am just amazing;) I feel gaming is not a waste of time as much as it is an escape. The time I spend playing Halo or COD online with my buddies from school or church, even though I cannot get that time back, I look back and enjoy it because we were all hanging out and having fun!
More along the lines of your post, I have NEVER got into Magic. I have seen so many people in my lifetime play this and I guess I just had no interest. Maybe one of these days I'll do a post on collectibles as well it is a great t"
