The crew is back in studio, and Area 5's Matt Chandronait is along for the ride. This week, we talk about what we would like a new Xbox 360 to include (hint: we don't want it to get any bigger or louder). But that's just one topic -- there's four more where that came from. Now, on with the show.
Bitmob.com - Mobcast #9:
Another week, another guest drops in. Area 5's Matt Chandronait decides to play 5 guys, 5 topics along with Dan "Shoe" Hsu, Demian Linn, Greg Ford, and Robert Ashley. Rage-quitting, best/worst movie-licensed games, the resurgence of adventure games, and the usefulness of game reviews highlight this week's discussion.
A quieter console with built in Wi-Fi and a non-proprietary HDD solution? It sounds like you guys want the next Xbox 360 to be a PS3![/troll] It even had Hulu access before, uh, it was specifically blocked from the website.

.......My thoughts exactly. A quiet 360 with Wi-Fi, a slick design and a big HDD to be able to get small episodic downloadable games sounds like the PS3.
I'm sorry if it sounds like trolling, but it absolutely does sound like it.
My question to you guys is why do you feel like you absolutely "have" to get Natal?

Just a request: Demian is very hard to hear sometimes. He also has these great one-liners that I have to rewind and turn up the volume to hear. Perhaps raise the volume of his mic?

Hey Robert, check out PlayOn for all of your Hulu console streaming. Media server software for the PS3 and 360. If you get it before June 30 is over using the coupon code PLAYON1999 it's half off. Hulu, Netflix, Adult Swim, and tons more of streaming sites are available to use on it. It also supports community created plugins which means it's functionality with video streaming sites will constantly be updated and supported. Check it bro!

Sorry for the double post, but what was the Zelda-esque adventure game with the "Lovecraft" style narration? Night of the Sefelapods? I'm totally butchering the title because not even Google can correct it.

Try "Cephalopods".

For anyone looking for the Night of The Cephalopods game mentioned in the podcast. Here's a direct link to the game's webpage: http://www.spookysquid.com/notc/index.htm
Also big thanks to the Mob Cast crew for mentioning the game!

No offense to Robert Ashley, but the Skype version sounded way better than this or any of the previous Mobcasts. You guys need to invest in some acoustic baffling, because it sounds like you're recording in a bathroom.

Matt is crazy. The Longest Journey was way better than Dreamfall:TLJ.

I couldn't agree with Chris Sansbum more, invest in some heavy drapes, hang some blankets on the walls, egg cartons, something. You have great content but awful production.

Up was better than transformers by far for movie based games.

The day EGM folded I signed up for Edge and I love it. Great stock, huge articles, analysis, fantastic art design all the way through.
