Last week's shows went back to normal after 2 weeks of E3 banter and poor sound. There was quite a shake up from top to bottom and many additions to the list. Check it out!

Week 1 results are in for the first week of Podcast Power Rankings. Most shows centered around E3 and very few shows made the best of it. Check the rankings out.

E3 2010 will be a show we look back to as the year when gaming overhauled itself. The year when console and game developers took steps to radically changed the industry.

"Am I the only one that thinks that this was a poor choice in topic? Either the challenge was worded poorly or most people don't really care to read/write about sujects that most people don't care about.

Bitmob has turned into Gamesnob: The website for taking gaming too seriously.

The site is less for gamers than it is for "hardcore" gamers trying to get into game journalism. Rarely is anyone funny or politically incorrect in their stance. I feel like this site is dying slowly. No one follows sports and few follow shooters."

"I removed my Amazon pre-order because there were no games I want announced for the launch. I have a feeling that the NGP is system I will own. Nintendo hasn't produced a game I have been excited about since the second Golden Sun."

"I am glad I am posting on this very late because I think I would have heatedly argued in Greg's defense. I'm not a fan of his. He usually aims to have a polarizing opinion on many subjects I don't care about. I've met his several times and he is a decent guy when he isn't channeling the iternet's demons

You should know that IGN values personality over writing skills in its editorial staff. They are an entertainment site covering (mostly) electronic entertainment. If they are not having fun they are not fun to read.

I do think that many of the contributors here take this far too seriously. Everyone is aiming for professionalism over personality and it has made this site hard to come to. The only person who has ever made me LOL here is Mike M. (although Alex Cronk-Young has made me smile).

Are we afraid to be ourselves? Are we over thinking this? Is this a site only for gaming snobs?"

"You are one of very few women. I am happy to know there is one more woman that can compete with the boys in the count of roughly 10,000 in the entire world."

"Is it cliche to call a reviewer bias yet? Words like "something", "things" and "it" should be specified at least once so the reader knows what those words are a place holder for."

"I think GTA 4 grew up, settled down and got married. He got too serious where as his little brother SR2 keeps rolling full steem through his early 20's pulling more outrageous versions of the same pranks that made his older brother a legend in town.

I think of MW2 as the trend setting aunt that married into the family at 20 and kept getting hotter. She is getting closer to her 30s and looking like she could go crazy in the near future but is holding it together. No matter what you think she will always be fun in the sack.

Good job."

"Wait... You can love? ;-) You are no where near as crabby as some other Gamespot editors. At least you are funny when you do it. You don't automatically hate sports sim games like most people who write here."

"1. What's your favorite aspect of the Mobcast? Quality opinions, encyclopedic gaming knowledge.

2.What's your least-favorite aspect of the Mobcast? I can't always differentiate Brett and Damien’s voices. I would like the group to add more humor. An oddball contributor would be great.

3.How long should the ideal podcast be? Roughly 1.5 hrs.

4.Do you enjoy a more-consistent group of guests, or do you like variety? A more consistent group would be better. 3 regulars minimum. Guest are OK but usually don’t have chemistry.

5.Do you enjoy the "Four gamers, four topics" format?  Would you tweak that at all? 4 gamers 4 topics is good but I would do a letters segment involve the community.

6. If you were in charge of the Mobcast, what changes (if any), would you make?

  • The show could use a smart, oddball, funny guy (Anthony Gallegos type). The site as a whole is missing quality gaming humor.  They don’t need to be lowbrow. I would not put the community on air with very few exceptions.
  • Topics always seem to come back to retro-games. I would try to avoid it in all but one topic.
  • I would add a woman with an engaging sense of humor and can be one of the guys. Like Tina Sanchez, Karen Chu, Jessica Chobot, Jasmine. I don’t think Raychul was a very good fit. (I like her but not on the mobcast)
  • Try new elements/segments. See what sticks. Shows should evolve, don’t let the Mobcast stagnate.
  • Give a theme for the show and ask the community for related question/topic.

"@Chase Thanks Debbi Downer. ;-) There is nothing in the rules saying that you can't be original. Just wait till you read what I have planned. I may be disqualified. I hope don't I don't get deleted this may be funny."

"So this is the reason the Mini-Mobfeed went crazy. Awesome. Lol. My guess is that Matthew Hunter has an early lead."

"The problem I hope they have realized is that the constantly changing cast kills chemistry. I think the earlier podcasts were better than the newer ones but I don't think charisma and the format are the problem.

You are correct when you say that they should be more free flowing but I think this can be accomplished within thier show perameters. This free flow allows the guests to find areas of dialogue that they excel at and breeds new segments. I too have more to say but most of it is already in a new article I am working on. Good post but the title is shocking and extremely misleading."
