FEATURED POST
Sure, just about everybody's saying that indie games are saving the industry, but how? And besides that, why won't the big studios take the risks the indies are willing to take? It's not as though they have anything to lose...

Well, it looks like there's a mysterious new contender on the field of handheld gaming: the GameGadget. Set to launch January 2011, there's really not much information about it aside from a single press release- one that I managed to get my hands on!

Why isn't the game industry doing anything to fight piracy (aside from ridiculous DRM?)

Is it really worth worrying about the difference between "hardcore" and "casual" games? Is it worth caring about how they affect the industry and, more importantly, the players? Jourdan Cameron doesn't really care.

Read Jourdan's article to see why he believes many M-rated games have a lot of growing up to do.

"Man, I love these first-world problems! I have the same trouble- so many games to review, so little time to review them in."

"Very nice post- I think there should be major change in the ESRB period, and the way games are rated. For example, why do GTA and Halo have the same rating? They contain vastly different content and virtually opposite context- they should be separated."

"Yeah, I don't think the name is very... Good...
Also, I wonder what the specs are on this thing."

Nice article :D"

"To be honest? I'm not a fan of the MW series, and probably will never be. The games just have no appeal to me.
As for the death of the child, I'm fine with it. Not that I want any kids dead, of course, but there's really no reason to censor it- the game's aim is to convey the brutality of war. War is cruel, unkind, and spares nobody. In fact, I think the scene was handled poorly, and seemed to be tossed in for shock value. It could've been FAR more painful to experience, in my opinion.
And I agree, these games aren't meant for kids."
