As more games use the camera system introduced in Quake, take the "shooter" out of FPS, and create realities that are less and less distinguishable from our own, remember that not so long ago, their existence was--at least to some people like myself--totally unfathomable experiences that may just of well have never existed.

"You make some really good points about the rapid-fire release of handheld model upgrades over the last several years, they probably totally cannibalized their sales unintentionally. I do think your concerns about the controller are a bit premature though. For one, from what I've read, the Wii U controller is actually much more comfortable than it looks . . . although to be fair, I doubt anyone has spent more than 15 minutes or so demoing it continously. That said, I can be certain that anyone serious about playing multi-platform FPS or action games on the Wii U system will opt for a much more comfortable Classic Pro controller. It's stupid that such a solution might be required to have a optimal experience, but it's an option that will be immediately available nonetheless."

"I had crushed Jack's heart by sleeping with someone else after romancing her all game long. Her reaction had such a negative effect on me, I broke my most important Mass Effect tenent and reloaded my game to romance her instead simply because I felt truly sorry for her as a human being, never loved and tossed aside once again. It's an emotion I can't say any other video game character has ellicited. In addition to all of your points about her, this really sealed the deal for me."

"Coincidentally, the one and only reason chicks may not dig you is because you think that owning five $35,000 Tron light cycle replicas would actually make chicks dig you."

I don't know, I could be suffering from blindness towards my own poor taste, but personally, I would have rather listened to James Cameron go on a tangent and talk shop for 20 hours than suffer through Nintendo's Cammie/Wii Music debacle last year or watch Reggie try to act cool, ever. This wasn't the best press conference I've seen by any means, but calling it the worst is some mighty tall words. In either case, I'm really bummed there was no Beyond Good and E"

"Gametrailers actually has much more of the beginning of this scene at the junk yard . . . I think 1UP put together or received a poor cut of the thing. The jilted dialog at the beginning of this video makes a bit more sense in context with how the scene begins. Full on five videos with some additional footage can be found here:

"very much looking forward to Heavy Rain based on how much I enjoyed Omikron and Indigo Prophecy. That said, while I'm not sure what stage of development this footage is from, I'm disappointed in the low fidelity of the character models and environments, as well as the campy voice acting. If David Cage hadn't been spending the last two years hyping the hell out of the ground breaking emotional experience and only-possible-on-PS3 technology his team was developing, I would probably come away with a much more positive first impression.
Again, I'm still stoked for Heavy Rain, but this game's visual fidelity does not at all match the picture I had painted in my head based on the previous character models, screens, and concept art I had seen, nor the big talk coming from the studio and press.
Please, someone in the know tell me this isn't representative of everything they've seen of the"

I hate to break it to you, but Bethesda has spent the last three years working on the new Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim. It's due 11/11/11. I expect we'll probably have to wait another 3 or 4 years for Fallout 4. Perhaps an early next-gen"
