Tiberium's Twilight, an experience to be endured and difficult to enjoy, a bitter swan song to an otherwise genre-creating game franchise. My opinions on Command & Conquer 4.

"ss I'm resubscribing after 2 months without. Great writeup. For me, WarCraft started my PC gaming, it is the sole reason I started playing PC games in any capacity and has made me still assume the moniker of a PC gamer; despite owning dozens of consoles over the years, I still spend more time using a keyboard and mouse for gaming than any other input device, and it really was because of Wa"

"now starting to think anything to do with scores will generate heated discussion; even without an actual numerical value attached.
At least it further reinforced my, until now, faith that I was not the only one that has perhaps... outgrown the need for a score to determine a purchase and it all now based on knowledge of the gaming industry that spurs such consum"

"s is a major issue in many games it feels, such as the Civilization series, you don't have to upgrade every city, improve every land tile in your civilization, you exploit what you need and move on. So many turn based games are like this.
HOMM 5 was a game I also purchased when it was on sale recently, and came to the exact conclusion you did at almost the exact same mission/campaign. After you're done that campaign you've still got over half a dozen campaigns if you count the Hammeres of Fate and Tribes of the East expan"

"nge Box for sure, Mass Effect as well, Fallout 3 is great as Hunter said as well and it has new DLC every month or so. Call of Duty 4 is a good buy as well, or you could wait for Modern Warfare 2 to come out.
XBLA games you should look at would be Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2, Poker Smash, Castle Crashers, Space Invaders Extreme as well. Good thing about XBLA games; they all have free"

"tter feels more like a product of today's internet action/reaction syndrome for speedy delivery, where ever you are you can make an update, and it in instantaneously available for all to read and react to. This is both a blessing and a curse, and personally I can't help but feel it is contributing to our society's short attention spans. By the way, that Gawker link to the Twitterati made me cry, the fact that it exists is an abomin"

"re needs to be follow up commentary on the 3D Realms situation, nobody seems to have jumped on this story yet, or the fact that it is now the weekend is probably not a good time to conduct an interview with any willing to talk about what happened, within the company, beyond what we heard of the developers going to Take-Two Interactive for more money.
We know some reasons as to the constant delays of the game, mostly centered around engine revamps or entirely changing the engine.
It felt that this game was a labour of love, George Broussard recently came out and said that they were cutting some things out to get the ship date moved forward; it had the appearance of a game in development.
It was nonsense that this game did not ship at the Unreal 2.0 engine stage, we could have now been witnessing the 5th Duke Nukem game being developed with idTech 5, instead we got an engine change at the turn of the century to the Doom 3/idTech 4 engine.
I really hope the enthusiast press gets some interviews going with the people who have spent the last decade or more on this"
