"Nothing wrong with letting your voice be heard. You might be surprised how many decisions in software design are made on the best guess of the developer, with minimum input from actual users.

Likewise, I fully support the decision of the developers to do whatever they feel is right in those cases. They are not required and cannot be compelled to make a decision that they don't feel is in their best interests.

To me, entitlement is more about the attitude than actions, per se. There's a big difference between someone who petitions because they feel they are "owed" something, and someone who petitions because they want to send a message as a consumer."

"This takes place in an elementary school?? That's pretty ... what, avant garde?"

"I knew this was on PS3, but didn't have any idea it was available on PSP. I'm a Wizardry/Bard's Tale player from way back. I'm a bit weirded out by the Japanese elements, but the gameplay still seems good!

"I'm primarily a PS3 gamer, and a lot of that is because of my history with PC.  Not so much the titles, I guess, as the platform itself.  I liked the "openness" of the system. Being able to swap hard drives or (at the time) install alternate operating systems. Functionality with Bluetooth devices allowing me flexibility to use hardware and peripherals I wanted, free online services, etc.

I think it's a very PC-oriented platform. Moreso than the Xbox 360 which is based on the same kind of architecture, but is much more stringently controlled and closed.

I also use my PS3 more for cross-platform endeavors, such as media streaming (search PS3 Media Server), and I found some drivers to use DualShock 3 controllers on PC.

Now with some form of Steamworks coming to PS3, I'm realizing that my PC/PS3 paradigm might not have been completely fabricated. :-P"

"@Rob Sure it does! I was just talking about it! Tron 2.0 won't have anything to do with the NEW film or games."

"So, essentially they've developed their internal canon for current projects. Sounds like a decently-conceived corporate-backed merchandising campaign for a franchise reboot. Nothing WRONG there, I guess.

I get the feeling they're pretty content just to leave it at that. Disney is all but denying the existence of the original movie, it seems.

One of the things I really loved about Tron 2.0 was that it took the idiosyncrasies of a dated 20-year-old movie about dated technology and built it into a real continuity. It's a true shame they're not continuing on that foundation."

"I'd let it ride with the Heavy Laser.
Then... maybe we should start working on Heavy Plasma (and clip) for our interceptor craft. It would take a while to complete, but I feel like we're going to start getting outgunned in the air pretty soon.

Also, you should start putting the ranks of the soldiers in the lineup if it's not too much trouble. I was recently reading that high-ranking soldiers make good "rear commanders" and provide a morale boost by staying alive (e.g. in the Skyranger) and could make use of motion scanners or mind probes. Ultimately it would be nice to interrogate a psionic alien so we can start training in psi powers.

My latest thoughts from beyond the grave. OoooOOOOOooo"

"T-Hawk for me, because I think Killian is dead-on about grapplers being fun to play. When I repeatedly smash my opponents to the ground, I drink their tears of frustration like sweet sweet nectar. Mmm.

PS3 plz! Thanks!"

"Uh oh. Pouring one out for me and my dead homies. We fought the good fight: Earf Day, 2010

From beyond the grave I say we stick by our research guns.

Also, I lold at getting shot in the face. Even though the animations aren't context sensitive, I also like to pretend someone got shot in the head or wherever.

Thanks for running this, Rob. :-)

edit: Some of those mods seem really neat."

"Let's do this thing.

Soldier Name: Jeremy LaMont

I usually put enough research into medi kits to get it done in a "reasonable" amount of time, and put the rest into laser weapons. It doesn't make much difference at first because the tech takes a while to research, but we need to get some decent guns.

edit: If we can only research one thing, let's go with medi kits."
