Breaking news: A spin-off has been announced for Homefront featuring all of the things you "love" about the game! OK, not really, but it is a very funny parody video put together by Adam Dorsey and his friends.

This is a music video I made for my friend's band. It puts both Rock Band 3 and the countless plastic instruments in my apartment to good use.
Uncharted2
Uncharted 2 borrows a lot from film. In fact, in many ways, it is a film. This begs the question: Do we really need a movie adaptation?

"I don't understand why you think game designers being assholes is going to make the games or the industry better in any way. It sounds like you're just excited for the press opportunities, and that doesn't seem like it'll help anything. Also, yes, assaulting women is a little more than a person being an asshole. Not super cool."

"I'm sorry you thought these videos were making fun of the fans. I really tried in the first video to show how everyone there was really exited to be there and having a really great time. That said, Activision handing out a gift bag with the code for the new game, a bag of doritos, and a limited edition moutain dew IS counter-productive to a mature gamer movement, and only solidifies gamer stereotypes. If anything, that's what I was pointing fun of in the second video, besides just the parody of real war mixed with gaming war. Well, okay, I guess I was making fun of myself too.

Thanks for watching."

"Great video guys. I totally got a motion graphics boner when a name title card briefly tucked behind someone's head. And yes, that Nintendo girl was fairly attractive too, I guess."

""until we change the way we present our industry to the world, the world will never accept our industry in the way we would like" - I sound like Professor X, you guys. Sorry about that. "I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS! I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS! I CAN'T... FEEL... MY LEGS!"

"Hey guys, love the heated discussion. I edited the video, which means I watched all of the source footage over and over and over again, and actually talked to several of these women off-camera at the show. This being my first E3, I was honestly surprised by how smart, funny, and disarming most of the "booth babes" actually were. I do agree that they are an unneccessary part of the experience, and I fear that until we change the way we present our industry to the world, the world will never accept our industry in the way we would like.

And while these ladies may know nothing about videogames, look at how into answering the questions they were. They knew they were being poked fun at, and chose to play along for the camera. I urge you to watch the blonde in the bouncy castle, who was clearly smart enough to be in on the joke, and has better comedic timing than half of the Olivia Munns on cancelled NBC sitcoms.

At least the booth babes understand why they're at the show and choose to have a fun time with it. It's the PR guys who latch onto you after you've been reeled in by a booth babe that really freak me out. "Have you heard about our free-to-play MMO? It's going to change the world! Your readers will love hearing about it! Would you like to enter to win a free TV and then jump in this bouncy castle with these beautiful models?" No thank you, sir.

Thanks for watching the video and reading this."

"ote]Racist overtones? Ugh, don't get me started. Classic example of people reading too much into something. I highly doubt Capcom had some sort of racist agenda in Resident Evil, and I'm equally sure they didn't intend to offend anybody. In poor taste at best, but getting angry about seems a bit thick-skulled.[/quote] I don't think anyone at Capcom had a vendetta against any other race. I'm sure they didn't mean to offend anyone, because ultimately they wanted to sell the game to as many people as possible, obviously. I believe that they didn't think about it. I think someone decided to place the game in Africa, to make the zombies African, and to make the lead protagonist a steroided white man. I think that they did all of that without thinking about themes, or history, or the power of all of that imagery combined. And I think to not think about stuff is unacceptable. Games should be taken seriously, both by the people who play them and the people who make them. I'm not saying we need to think about the social implications of those Boom Blox Animals and the blocky world they inhabit that we're no doubt destroying, but when a developer makes a game with a narrative, I want them to think about what they're doing. With the setting and imagery of Resident Evil 5, they could have said something to the world, about the world. There's nothing wrong with making something that's racially-charged, but when it doesn't go any deeper than that, than I just see ignorance on so many levels of the development. Because they didn't mean to? And to spend years working on something only to produce an end-product that you didn't mean to make? That's unacceptable. I'm glad you had fun with the game. When I put it in, I just found myself demanding more. More from a gameplay perspective, more from a cinematic perspective, and I wanted more done with the narrative and themes. And after a few levels, when everything just felt like work? I stopped playing. These are our franchises, people. These are the games with the big-budgets. These are the games with the guaranteed audience, the guaranteed purchases. And I just feel like someone somewhere isn't trying hard enough. Someone is making a game without thinking about it, on every aspect of this games production, I feel like no one was standing back and thinking about it. And that's unaccep"
