"aig Ostrin The best comparison I can give is a car dealership. You'll find both used and new cars on the lot, with the used cars priced as high as will sell. Due to how consumers feel about used car, they sell for significantly less than new.
And that's the crux of this issue. Used games sell for nearly the same price as new at Gamestop. But that is not Gamestop's fault. That is our fault, as consumers. We let GS put prices that high by buying used games at those prices. If no one bought used games at those prices, used prices would drop (or disappear). We, as a culture, enable Gamestop to keep this market going, not buy selling games to them, but by buying outrageously over-priced used"

"'re actually wrong about Telltale Games method, at least originally. They were still creating the final episodes of the first season of Sam and Max when the first episode came out. This was revealed when the initial feedback came in from that episode. Telltale said that there would be no changes in episode 2 & 3, because they were too far along. Four was still in the early stages, and thus was able to be improved.
And episode four was improved. As was the rest of the season. THAT is the great benefit of episodic gaming. Normally, if a game has problems, you have to wait at least a year for a sequel to improve on it. With episodic content, you can make changes within the single season, making changes "mid-game" so to speak.
And obviously someone is buying it, at least from Telltale. The evidence is easy to see too. If no one bought them, they would have moved on to another"

"an: Did you still have the original save games? There will be an autosave right before the final fight. You should be able to load up that save and re-beat the game. This will create a new "end game" save that should be importable into ME2. Note: I don't have the game yet, so I don't know if that actually"

"on mentioned Red Faction, which I think is apt. I was going to go with Volition's other recent game, Saints Row 2.
Saints Row 2 really embraces that its a game. It makes lot of decisions to make the game more fun, even if it "hurts" the narrative. When you fail a mission, a menu screen pops up to offer you a chance to redo it rather than forcing you to run all the way back to the quest giver. Side missions are fun and simple, excellent diversions from the main game. Missions are full of checkpoints, limiting how much you are ever forced to redo. It's a game through and through, but that helps make it a very good"

"ce work is of great importance to telling a good story. My initial selection of playing a female Shepard over a male was was entirely based on voice. Mark Meer is a fine actor, but he is no Jennifer Hale. I heart Hale. She is Shepard, and no one"

"gree with what several people said above: comparing a laptop to a console simply isn't fair. At a simple cost comparison, you would need to at least include your TV. And you are simply not getting your money's worth trying to game on a laptop. They are not designed for it, due to the need for head dissipation, power conservation, etc.
I recently bought an off-the-shelf, pre-built HP, put a real video card in it, and it will run any game I know of at full settings, all for about half the cost of your laptop. I am sure a more hardcore PC player would be able to build his/her own for less money and get more power.
All that said, you are definitely right in your choice of console gaming. It is obvious that PC gaming is no longer for you, and its always best to pursue the experience you enjoy"

"iew scores are inherently dependent not just on the site, but on the reviewer. The important thing is to find reviewers whos likes and dislikes you know and understand, and read their reviews. That will gives you a good basis on which to judge a game. A list of review scores doesn't really mean anything out of context.
As for reviewers complaining about a visitor looking at only the score and not reading the review, the solution is simple. STOP GIVING SCORES. Then people will have to read the review to get your opinion. As long as you score things, you feed the score comparing mach"
