"l we also are missing classics such as Grim Fandango, Full Throttle and many many more adventure games I remember sinking into as a kid. Hope these find their way to steam soon, because the 3-4 populated servers of BF2 don't really look all that appealing, but getting to play the MI saga again sounds like a slice of heaven. Maybe this announcement was spurred by the invigoration of the MI stories from Tell Tale but for me this is still great news. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for those "real" cla"

"l a lot of the L4D outrage also stems from the fact that it shipped as incomplete product that was missing things that valve had said that they would support it with time to come. Really just because a dev did a good job in the past doesn't mean they should get a write off for producing a subpar product. In the end the only person getting hurt is the consumer, when we give the developers and publishers a free ride when they release something done terribly. Also for the love of god, I don't see the updated graphics, at all. It really looks exactly the same thing a"

"find the fact that this game is supposed to look better quite hard to believe, really in a nighttime setting graphics can easily be hidden in darkness, but once you go to daytime everything has to be smoother, crisper just to maintain the same visual fidelity. AI director really isn't that important when infact versus is the selling point of the game and not the pretty bland bots. New weapons? Hahahaha right, the "new" weapons are just guns skinned as melee items, with primary fire disabled. The games weapon butt is exactly the same except does less damage and has a smaller attack radius. I have no problem with Valve releasing L4D2 but if it isn't "sequel" quality you bet yourself that I'm not buying anywhere near full price. I bought L4D on sale and I'll buy this title on sale too. As a consumer it just feels like Valve has jumped the shark as a company who supports their product, and to be honest I'm really skeptical about the dual content support in L4D and"

"mon Weatherall I'm a skeptic on the what seems to be annual release of L4D because the gameplay differences just don't seem that game breaking or game changing. I feel ashamed that I was one of the dweebs that bought crackdown ontop of signing up for the beta to get the guaranteed coveted Halo 3 beta, and hell I didn't even touch crackdwon until the end of 2007 and I truly feel ashamed but now its my chance to redeem myself as I will definitely be playing Crackdown 2 day one hands down. I hope they keep those damn orbs because holy crap I loved collecting every single one, and many those rooftop races were so damn awesome especially in the MP"

"s not really whether or not Left 4 Dead is good, honestly I've played maybe 4 hours total since I bought this game, and I did out of peer pressure might I add. I have no investment in this game but when you look at the content that's being delivered it just feels like Valve being dare I say "lazy." Why? Because basically its the same engine with minor tweaks to game play and "new" weapons that don't really add any thing dramatically new to the game. Valve has used the source engine for a long while, and if you look at most of their games, their quite polished, but its been a good couple of years, its time to upgrade the engine and stop developing on the console cycle. Also Demian I think it's because Valve is a PC developer who traditionally has cater to the PC crowd and development style that favors games with long tails unlike consoles whos main focus seems to be initial purchase base compared to the overall community. Valve and Blizzard were indicative of developers who always put out top notch quality games and supported them for long periods, this L4D2 thing really just doesn't seem to be in the best interest for community or development pur"

"on't understand how people think COD 4/mw's mp was great... it was by far one of the worst experiences ever. With a FFA map if you knew the spawn locations and the server was hosting more than 30 players then you could get a gun, aim at the spawn point shoot and rack up your kills, I hope in MW 2 they really think about their spawning system because it really is a piece of work, and I mean absolute garbage, fix mp and i'll think about picking up cod again for more than just the 3hrs it takes me to beat the sp. Really I have to say that COD 2 did multiplayer way better than 4 and I really hope they look at games that have managable respawns like bf2/bf2120, tf2, dods, and list go"

"acy isn't black and white, I've purchased games then pirated them to not deal with the drm on my PC. Bioshock, Mass Effect, Spore are all games that I have torrented the cracks for, because really I don't want to play with my dvd drive filled. Why should I need my disc in my drive when the game can be self contained on my computer? According to DMCA I shouldn't be allowed to do that, why? I'm the consumer, its my choice on how I want to use the media I have PURCHASED. It frustrates me just like music and movie industries try to control how we use what we purchased. I have backup dvd rips of all my dvds, season box sets so I can stream all my video on my pc or on my tv. These companies continue to shun technology as they want to preserve their archaic outdated models when in fact they continue to dig their own graves. I just want to be able to use stuff that I bought in the way that I choose, if they won't let me with a valid reason I will continue to circumvent their idiotic mea"

"nter Strike, this one online game really truly spawned e-sports, and I remember it as being the reason why steam came to existence. DRM done right is enough to justify its importance, let alone it's awesome gameplay, and its significance to Valve as a developer and CPL and other e-sports le"
