"icrosoft's Marketing team has been keeping their message on point in this regard. They are not looking to replace the controller, but instead looking to create an additional experience that will not only enhance current game genres, they are hoping to invite in users who have not been interested in gaming for a long time or ever. There is an interview on GiantBomb.com with the Microsoft marketing representative at E3 who made sure to make this clear that they are not looking to replace their controller.
It also sounds like Microsoft has been doing a great job getting the developers interested in this tech already so they can have time to be creative before the launch of the device. Allowing the 3rd-party developers time to work with the new technology before it hits shelves will also be a smart move. "the Nintendo Kind Code idea something that was actually announced at E3? I was reading about this as one of the "top ten moments in E3" in Time magazine and had not read anything about it from the gamer press outlets. The idea of taking control away from the gamer when a game gets tough and providing direct in-game hints seems like a fairly interesting topic and I think it might be good for getting more of the casual crowd playing "hard core" games and maybe even help some 3rd-party software sales on the Wii. Many Wii owners might see a game like Zelda or Dead Space or even Mario Galaxy as too tough to play and will pass on these titles due to possible difficulty. "onestly came away from Microsoft far more impressed than the Sony presentation. I was shocked when most of the gamer outlets I follow seemed more impressed with the Sony presentation. "sidering Newspapers are going th way of the dodo, I don't see much hope for many printed publications. The Listen Up podcast this week discussed the idea of EGM coming back without newstand sales and at a higher price point with a more collectible quality to the paper stock and art. I would pay for this but I don't see it as a viable business venture at this"
