If a game comes out and nobody talks about it, does it make a sound? Apparently so, as this time, Lufia : Curse of the Sinistrals is covered. Is the return to the beloved Lufia 2 successful, or is it like the last few entries in the series, meaning completely unwarranted? Read on to find out.

Sometimes, you pick up a game that has everything set up for your hatred, yet somehow offers a shining ray of hope for a series you considered a great example of Japanese mediocrity. Tales of Vesperia is that kind of game, most of the time. Will it be enough to make me change my stance though?

A review of the most electrifying title in sports-entertainment games today (by virtue of it being the only one). Done under the Haterade style of reviewing, which I'm trying out for the first time.

Are we doing our jobs as critics? Maybe. Is the consumer doing his part as a consumer? Likely not. See how a simple sentence can change a consumer's view on video games, their reviews, and possibly more.

I am baffled! is a feature that seeks to understand video game design decisions that seem illogical. If Seinfeld wrote a video game column, this would be it. Except it'd be funnier. Today, we explore auto-regeneration in shooting games and the heads-up display of your health.

You can't keep a good fan down, no matter what kind of a product you're peddling. How are the wrestling games of today faced with those of yesteryear, and can the modern fan appreciate the current innovations without lamenting what was lost?

A loser's perception on MMOs and why they aren't for him.

Entry in the This or That writing challenge. A Virtua Fighter fan talks about Tekken versus Virtua Fighter. The conclusion may surprise and shock you, but don't worry, it won't bite.

"You know, I personally find that posting under my real name forces me to properly post my opinions rather than slather them in ridicule and satire. Then again, I'm kind of an exception as I use the same name everywhere I go, with a different title in front of it."

"Even without heirlooms (an item that binds to your account allowing you to gain 10% more experience from everything and grows as you go up in level), the game is extremely enjoyable starting over. I re-joined up for Cataclysm and so far, I'm having a blast. I do think they should have retouched some zones more (Duskwood, Northern Barrens and Northern Stranglethorn come to mind) as they look a bit more dated when compared to the experiences that are Stonetalon Mountains for the Horde or Redridge Mountains for the Alliance (a quest line that, if you remotely enjoyed Sylvester Stallone, you MUST do).

Really, Blizzard has a hit on their hands with Cataclysm."

"I don't know, out of all the titles in the key words, only No More Heroes 2 : Desperate Struggle was remotely in my interests, and it was a much weaker title than the original.

Only two types of players were spoiled - the Triple A gamer and the independant games player. The rest? We fought over scraps."

"I understand why they have the outdated rosters, but if you take a good look at the actual roster, you'll start thinking that half of these guys aren't even there anymore, the most glaring ones being RVD (who was there for one appearance at the Royal Rumble and then nothing) and Shelton Benjamin.

I know that, way way back in No Mercy, the company was punishing Big Show a lot and forced THQ to remove him from the game, without changing the dialogue. It's funny a couple of times seeing Steven Richards consider himself a super heavyweight, but after a while..."

"A philosophy teacher and locally well known novelist once told me : "The great writer isn't the one that can write 200 pages out of two words, but rather the one that can summarize 200 pages in two words."

In short, you can never have a short enough pitch. Now, if only I had a GOOD idea to pitch, I'd be ecstatic!"

"I hear this situation as it mirrors my own. I like to think that I'm a decent enough writer to provide content, the problem is that I'm sporadic in the content I provide, and I don't know what I want to write.

Plus, it doesn't help that if I want to write in the wacky world of video games, I have to write in a language that isn't entirely my own because there's no real interest in my language."

"As someone who's played all currently available superhero MMOs, I have to say that DCUO seems far more interesting now than when it was showcased. It looked messy and downright unfun. Now, it looks as though it's actually interesting even with the limited creator. It helps that as you gain equipment, you also unlock the costume pieces that go along with them, and some of them are downright gorgeous."

"Being someone who lives about 20 minutes from this studio by car (about an hour by public transportation, that's what I get for not being, y'know, on the actual island), I like this inside look at the studio."

"A good player will be good regardless of controller.

However, other than the walking 720, I don't see any other advantage the pad may have over a stick."

"Seems that the MMO FFs will always be for high-end PC gamers. AKA not for me."

"The genre isn't past it's prime, it's just that the market is saturated and publishers just keep on greenlighting and releasing games in that genre.

It's gotten so bad that I'm seriously starting to think that people like me (who do not like FPSes with very few exceptions) aren't wanted as video game consumers anymore."

"The cash money scale is incredibly hard to use. I've been wrestling with a Red Dead Redemption review using that, and honestly, I can't remotely even consider how to gauge it. Does it have enough content for 60$? Yes it does, it has a lot of content. However, what's the baseline? 6$ an hour or play? More or less? I don't know.

What I wanted to do is take what was in the game, describe it as objectively as possible, then my subjective analysis of it, and then judge if it's worth the asking price. However, it may be because my English isn't that good, but I found it increasingly hard to properly write."
