(Week of the Vegetable - Day 5) Opinion by Robert Chumblum: Gamers these days are a bunch of whining pansies who are too used to "good" graphics and low difficulty. They also have no sense of commitment when it comes to long, mundane tasks like grinding.

"I usually get most of the new gaming platforms that I am interested in at launch, but I think I will have to wait a while with the 3DS to see how it turns out before putting down a new-console amount of money on it. Thanks for the honest opinions!"

"The plot to the game sounds very intriguing, but if it is going to boil down to a generic shooter, I doubt that I will pick it up, at least not immediately. The "kill waves of enemies" mentality means you can basically substitute the enemies with anything else to produce the exact same game experience, which I think could really detract from the story."

"Thanks a bunch! I'm really glad that you enjoyed these, and there will be plenty more!"

"@Bobby: I'm sure this must have already crossed a publisher's mind, and who knows, they might already be working on it. If so, you heard it here first!"

"@Nathan: The perfect place to keep the virtual pets would be that last place anyone would expect to find them. Apparently the criminal is even more devious than I thought! Are you sure you didn't know anything about this while you lived there? The DV might have to do a follow-up investigation on you."

"Nice article, and I agree -- I'd love to see a re-imaged Mega Man. Unlike most people, I thoroughly enjoyed the Battle Network series (though they could have done without releasing six whole games in six years' time). I can't wait to see what the new "Mega Man Universe" or "Mega Man Online" is going to be about, but I'm hoping it is not entering the MMO territory."

"I still don't really see the benefit of these games. There are much better ways to get exercise, and there are certainly much more fun games to be playing."

2:   "Pinky's brilliant plan of building a mechanical Pac-Man suit backfired when it developed a mind of its own, attacking the other ghosts and destroying their respawn area."

3:   "Who wants to hear about how much I love online multiplayer on the old Splinter Cells again?""

"YES!!! I love the entire soundtrack to Golden Sun, and I'm so glad that it is finally being recognized! Just hearing the music makes me well up with nostalgic memories."

"My college classes (especially my three math courses) that I am taking this semester have been keeping me extremely busy as of late, but I had just enough time during spring break to finish the animation and write this article. Hopefully I will be able to contribute more regularly as we move out of midterm exam season. Thanks for the front page!"

"The game I most regret that I will not be playing this year has already been released -- Mass Effect 2. When I got the original for PC last summer, it  managed suck me in unlike any other game has done in years, but unfortunately I'm afraid my computer would be unable to run the sequel (the old Pentium 4 does not hold up very well with newer games anymore). Buying a new PC or a 360 for one game seems like a bit of a waste since I recently upgraded my RAM and graphics card, but I've never been so tempted."

"That was pretty insightful.  I still believe that piracy is not justifiable under any circumstance because it is affecting both the hardworking developers and the consumers who have to put up with this DRM crap, but it was really interesting to see what some of these pirates are thinking."
