"This is exactly why there is not final numeric score for my personal reviews; there are the varying degrees of "Perfect", "Near-Perfect", "Good", "Meh" and "Not worth your time". And to get it, you have to read and/or watch my review for the appropriate points. Like reviews should be =D"

"I might sound like a heretic, but nothing beats a good milk crate for NES game storage... I managed to fit all 75 of my NES titles in just one. Why should vinyl LPs be the only form of media to rock a milk crate...?"

"I agree that video games have always had a fairly deep social aspect to them, especially when it came to multiplayer games, but there were also gamers like me, content with holing up in the basement and playing RPGs like they were going out of style (and they more or less did, for the most part). However, as a kid, during that crucial "games are antisocial, go out and play" phase, I actually coordinated and ran a Game Boy club with a circle of friends, and we had a secret base and everything. It was pretty fun, and way more social than online gaming, which is more or less solitaire with voices over a headset..."

"All this magical advanced technology gone to waste... And yet, the girls in Tokimeki Memorial 2 for Playstation 1 was able to naturally say your name in different ways depending on context. Interesting, that."

"How about the "tiny nuclear guy" from Black's Fortress in Gunstar Heroes? That dude was a quarter the size of your character but could hand your ass to you in no time. And he blew up forever when you beat him."

"I'm to the point that I just don;t care about the backlog anymore. I think it'll be a lot easier to tackle once the gaming industry goes download/streaming only, 'cause that's where I'm getting off. But until then, only the games that get their hooks in me deep enough will be saw through to the end. And shmups. They're fast, fun and easy to get through... and every now and again addictive enough to last for weeks or months."

"I can see where you're coming from in termsof the types of games described above, but there is one genre that absolutely need difficulty settings; the Shump. For me, any shooter has to have multiple difficulties in order to get better and better for that high score, especially online. Taking Ikaruga for example, if you can learn the first stage on easy and then play it seriously on normal or hard, you'll get a higher score.

I concede, it's also kind of an artificial lengthener, but then when a game has on average six to seven stages, it's a welcome thing. A lot of players like me enjoy seeing just how good we can get too; I've managed to nearly master U.N. Squadron after "1CC-ing" it on hard, but I'm finding my limit on the hidden "Gamer" difficulty.... for now! =)"

"I have a pair of framed gaming posters in my living room; one of Rufus and the Turks, the other of Breath of Fire IV. Additionally, I have a framed limited lithograph of Custom Robo above my kitchen table. No shame for the game, nor will any be had."

"Rumor has it that I didn't take first place because the second place prize of $20 was too small to split between the four people that did the comedy thing. So they took the $50 first prize and divvied it up for like $12.50 each. In a sense though, I came out on top. And looking back on it... our squabbles were really petty, weren't they?

Hah, the big rock... It's in the southern forest! Speaking of, in the DS version of that game, the "Big Rock" is more of a towering monolith =P"

"Weird. I AM a dork, I DON'T have a life, I DO have ADD AND it's been said that I act like a 12 year old. Maybe they're onto something..."

"I'm mostly a composer, not a songwriter, but I have a series called "Bullet Heaven" that covers shmups in specific. I composed the main theme, "Mesosphere" in 2005 as the track for the first stage of my own concept shmup that I'm titling "Scramble XI". I then ended up remixing it for the main theme to Bullet Heaven in late 2009. Here it is in all its glory!

"rts. I'm sure I'm not the last person that's going to say it's their least favorite but to me, if there were sports that actually interested me, I'd play them in real life and not on a TV. Besides which, Sports video games are all really boring to play and"
