"As long as the developer/publisher make money from the sales. All is fine. There is plenty of games out there that sell well after it's released (Syrim for example) so the idea that huge Steam sales are bad is wrong in my opinion. Developers have stated that they make much more money from the sales than the actually do from the regular price."

Tarnishes what the game was throughout the experience. It's bad design. In Killzone 2, I had this same problem. The only difference was that I didn't "get to the scripted events" but instead found a place that I could duct and shoot the big boss without worrying about the meager common soldiers. Spent 20 minutes shooting at the boss and then realizing I had to kill the 4 guys on the ground first. Annoying as hell.

That's a good question. Wouldn't this take away any sort of artistic integrity from the developers knowing that fans who invested can change how the game looks and plays?

"as playing Star Wars Force Unleashed on easy and it felt awesome. Picking guys up and throwing them off buildings and into shields makes me feel like a jedi. Dying from a stormtroopers and his friend does not make feel like a jedi.
If the character is suppose to be a total bad ass I try to make him a bad ass. If that means going on easy, so be it. It just feels satisf"
