"From everything that I've read, the press and most people are pretty excited about DNF, but they are also apprehensive. You say the trailer is "abysmal", but when I looks at the comments on youtube, I see nothing but excitement and praise. While it is likely that the game will not live up to expectations, you can't just use these random statistics to declare that the game will be bad. Duke Nukem Forever may still play like a 90's shooter, but many 90's shooters, like Duke Nukem 3D or marathon, are still really fun. This simply means that DNF will stand out from the shooters being released today, which all try to ape on COD's style.
Also, you deride "panderous" games like Gears of War and Call of Duty, but these are both critically acclaimed and high selling series that are not only targeted at adults but are also played mostly by people over the age of 18.
I respect your opinion and decision to not purchase the game, but I find that your argument lacks validity. you just sound bitter in the last few paragraphs."

"Hey Shoe, how well does the game control when compared to Duke Nukem 3D and modern shooters like Call of Duty?"

"@Sandy Actually, Rockstar's Table Tennis was only $40 when it came out. They knew it wasn't worth the full sixty."

"My problem is with the Xbox 360. Whenever I start up a game and selsect a save file, a notice appears asking me to choose a storage device to load from. But if I have only one storage device, it really doesn't need to ask every time. Why can't the Xbox just check the harddrive automatically."

"This hack really creeped me out when I first read it. But I still find it cool that people were able to make slight tweaks to the game and turn it into a radically different experience."

"Hey, I liked Pacman World and the Super Mario Brothers movie! But good article though. I agree, many games today, like Infamous or Mass Effect have really generic protagonists, and so few games are character driven with memorable "mascots" anymore. Back in the day, the Big Three had Mario, Sonic, and Crash Bandicoot to represent them. Mario is really the only mascot to retain his title and quality. Sonic has gone multiplatform and really lost his thunder in recent years. And Crash was kicked to the curb years ago, though its nice to see that Sony kinda has the Sackboy now.
I've always been disappointed that the Xbox never had a lovable mascot. Sony has exclusive characters like Jack and Daxter, Rachet and Clank, and Sly Cooper, who would all make great mascots, while Microsoft Has the Master Chief and Marcus Fenix. "

"For me, it's most sports games, particularly Madden. I just find the concept so boring, and the gameplay mechanics never seem immersive. I'm willing to play basketball, tennis, and bowling games though. Another game that I would have to be payed to play is Mario is Missing. That game is torture."

I think brutality would be a good name for the new x-ray attacks in MK9."
