Has the apparent need for action and empowerment, as well as a reliance on blood and gore, taken away from what we loved about survival-horror games in the first place?

I really wasn’t expecting just how much a departure Silent Hill: Shattered Memories would be from the Silent Hill games I have come to know and love. Rest assured that this game is a departure in all the right ways! Silent Hill has never felt so real and gets in your head like no other game before it. Shattered Memories will make new ones for you.
