After the botched launch of the 3DS eStore and the debacle of Operation Rainfall, it seems like Nintendo doesn't want gamers' money. If that's the case, the company shouldn't be surprised to see the skull and crossbones soon.

I explore the recent launch of the 3DS Virtual Console and conclude that Nintendo want the Game Boy and its software library to age gracefully. Specifically, this strategy involves not putting out much and refraining from being cheap; I believe this approach works for people, not eCommerce channels.
