Nintendo has done right by hardcore gamers with a slew of impressive 2D platformers on the Wii, except for one thing: forced motion control. Why does Nintendo insist on adding this to their games, even when it's detrimental to the experience?

In my opinion, the Wii has more then built up a killer line-up. So why haven't the "hardcore" gamers made original titles like Dead Space: Extraction a hit? Why isn't the Wii a companion piece to the PS3/360 like game journalist thought it would be?
