Triple A quality games with big budget freedoms set in place for game developers seems to be the mainstream in the industry these days. Anything less feels less polished or not enough. The rising benefits of technology is what has brought the gaming industry to the wondrous bounds that we now experience today.

It was only a matter of time before Disney’s hit movie franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean was transformed into the world of LEGOs. At the very end of 2011, we were struck y an onslaught of big title releases like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, Uncharted 3, and Arkham City. The year after year Madden franchise would seemingly have to be very addictive. However, this year, the series seemed to have taken a turn for the worst. Madden 12 houses more problems and bugs than improvement and innovation. The game is one giant step backwards, when I expected them to be moving the opposite.

After seeing the images of the Wii U controller it became completely apparent that the console as we know it may be exiting the building. With a tablet design the Wii U reminds me of the iPad. The differences between a gaming console and tablet will really start to blur this fall when Apple releases iOS 5.
