"e never seen the Rambo game in arcades, and after reading this article I feel like i'm a little bit incomplete not having played it.
It seems like it illuistrates why I love arcade games though; they're just plain fun. Podcasters and "Enthusiast Media Proffessionals" dont have much place shitting on the fact that the narrative is shaky in places or that the ending wasnt fullfilling. They're just meant to be fun and amusing.

"l bet that the reason stat tracking isnt integrated into all games is because thats not something that developers want you to focus on. Gears of War and Team Fotress 2 (two games that track achievement progress and give feedback) arent exactly story heavy games. However, I wouldn't want to be pulled out of an experience like Shadow of the Colossus or Bioshock to be told that I only had to kill three more Big Daddys to get an achievement. But thats just me.

I hope in Part 2 you'll at least acknowledge Amplitude. That game consumed so much of my youth. I never owned it, but instead would rent it multiple times a month. The last song, "I want to be synthesized" was probably my first experience in what would become a long love of electronic/super produced music. That and it introduced me to a bunch of music a 12 year old me probably never would have thought to listen to. I miss Amplit"
