"boy is 26 months old and he just loves everything about video games. We limit him to about 45 minutes a day. He loves the child games on the ipod touch and anything touch sensitve on the ds and loves watching mommy and daddy play wii (there's only a couple of things he can do on his own). My wife and I get real conflicted if we should be letting him play at all. By the way we shelter him from anything violent, gaming or otherwise. My point of view is: I'm 34 years old and when I grew up barely a minute of the day went by when a television wasn't on somewhere in the house. My dad was really into technology, so in turn I am. I was always far ahead of the other kids with technology. We had a microwave, Beta, VHS, CD player far before anyone else I knew as a kid. With all that said, I feel I'm a productive member of society, I'm a news artist in the editorial department at my hometown paper and my wife's the high school Librarian. What I'm getting at is, this is the "Video game/technology generation" and I think my boy will be fine if we just make sure he's doing everything else important and not just focusing on"
