"This I can see. Rockstar is always willing to attack the issues of America head on, its just funny to this problem address in that game that centers on California. Liberty City was not the ideal place to live either. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would wanna live in that city lol"

"It's true, it's very hard to generalize this state. It's huge and every city offers something different. I was talking with a friend when I was San Fran and we were talking about the homeless issues. San Fran takes the cake in homeless population. That place is the capitol for the bums. LA has its homeless issue too, but I'm pretty sure SF has it the worst. Perhaps that was taken into mind when developing this city. They just wanted everything that plagues this city accross the state."

I suppose it's the upgrade to the engine that makes the game look so much more realistic than previous titles. This game has so much more detail to it that really points out the economic issues with the city that this series has never explored before. These upgrades may not be an attack on LA, it is prevalent as a new graphical addition to the series."

"Yeah but instead of mutants from fallout we get bums in GTA. I'd rather have mutants."

"I did notice in the shots of mountains or nice houses you couldn't really see any traces of trash. But I really do hope that the issues concerning the economy are big story points. When GTA4 was released our economy was in tiptop shape or anything and they still never showed details that are present in this trailer. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. On the plus side all those details do make the game look awesome."

I suppose with every art originality rare. I feel the originality that comes from these products must be from the detailed contents of it. What you experience from something like Catherine will be completely different from watching your example above. That's what makes Rage such a fan favorite. Going beyond that where it's source material came from, your experience in the world these developers created is where the originality comes fro"

"I can see where you're coming. This is why I posted the disclaimer that I have not played Rage. Therefore details like gameplay and A.I. would not account in my write up. This column was more of a reflection of the product from an outside perspective. This is not a review or anything like that. It's strickly observation of a product as a consumer. "

"I completely agree. Gamecube was amazing. I think the position that Nintendo was in at that time, basically being last in the console race, it was forced to take the unqiue approach to games. With the Wii, we have seen just how lazy Nintendo will get when they have crazy amounts of success. We'll see what happens with the next gen of consoles. If it's anything like how the 3DS sold at launch, we may be in for an interesting generation of new games."

"Maybe Nintendo will enter another "Gamecuber era" if the Wii U does not do well and force them resort to rebooting more older franchises. With the business plan they got going for the next few years, anything can happen."
