Although my writing has been more scarce as of late, I've been with Bitmob since the beginning. I remember when this site was simply known as "Project P" back on Shoe's Sore Thumbs blog. When the site launched, I was excited but I'm not sure I totally grasped the concept.

Derek moved apartments recently, so Brett and Jeff gave him the week off. Community members Mark T. Whitney and Brian Petro-Roy kindly stepped in to fill the two vacant seats and discuss turn-based RPGs, gamer guilt, games and feelings, and whether a Mass Effect movie could actually be good.

"Alright, I'm tired of saying I'm going to do this every year and not following through. I'm in as part of team Bitmob!"

"@Frank Towards the end it does open up and it also introduces a fast travel system which makes the bit of backtracking you need to do less irritating than it would be otherwise."

"For a full retail product, my choice would be Darksiders. While it may be mentioned on numerous lists of tops games of the year and be in discussions for the top spot, I don't think it will make it to number one anywhere else. The biggest knock against Darksiders (aside from coming out in January and being forgotten) is that it is simply a Zelda clone. But this game managed to make me do something no Zelda game ever did, finish it in under a week. It is also one of the few games that have come out in recent years that have made me excited for a sequel.
In the realm of downloadable games that were overlooked, my award easily goes to Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. Although originally released in Japan in late 2007, Recettear was just recently translated and brought over to the US. The game flips the JRPG genre on its head and puts you in the position of running an item shop, buying and selling while you deal with market fluctuations in order to pay back a debt left to you by your father. Whimsical isn't a word I use often, but in this case it is entirely fitting."

"I can see things are still a little messy, but man, this is the update I've been waiting for. Once everything is sorted out, I can definitely see this taking Bitmob up a notch"

"I completely respect the wide array of people the "documentary" got to speak about the subject, but the product as a whole came off very derivative and mass market. Who exactly was the intended audience?"

"Wow, I almost missed seeing that I was on this list. Surprised to be there since my article was really just a rant. But hey, who am I to argue?"

"Since everyone seems to be up in arms about it, I'm running a GeForce GT220, which I realize is not a great card, but the exact specs of every part of my system was not meant to be a focus of the article. WoW has never needed a powerhouse computer to run it, and that I'm sure has a lot to do with its continued success"
