Four years of excitement.

Yet another dive.  Snooze."

GTA: The Troubles. Northern Ireland 1970-1985 (or thereabouts).

Lots of factions (including various Loyalist/Prods and the Republicans/Catholics, MI5, MI6, KGB, various police and military groups...), great mix of settings (nasty, gritty cities and beautiful countrysides) and the potential for some absolutely insane set-pieces (riots in the cities, marches, VCPs, bombings, raids and all the rest). Oh, and fantastic accents.

"27, work full time with a thankfully fairly short commute, married and have a 9 month pregnant wife. Gaming is also not my only hobby (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Pen and Paper/Tabletop games are also in there). My gaming time is usually in short bursts whenever I can get it and it's about to get much worse. It's one of the reasons I have zero tolerance for games that don't allow me to save at any time or at least those that don't have a very forgiving checkpoint system. I'm currently playing Torchlight as I appreciate that the dungeons and quests are generally achievable in half an hour which is usually the longest continuous block I can get on a daily"

"the topic of young journalists, I've been on the other side of the young journalist spread. For 5 years I produced and presented a geek culture radio show (Chez Geek on Edge Radio 99.3 in Tasmania) and throughout this time we received no freebies and the only publisher who actually talked to us was Atari Australia - and even then, all we had was access to their press releases. Despite repeated attempts (and even after the station took out broadcaster of the year awards etc) we couldn't even get any other publishers or developers to put us on their mailing lists (which is all we were asking for). We never expected to get and freebies or special treatment, and the only "industry" event we ever got into was a XBox360 promo tour which in addition to already being public access didn't even have an actual 360 there to display. For those "young journalists" stuck on that side of the divide it can be very hard and I can only imagine the temptation to "take it all" should you ever break through. But for us, this wasn't even a paying job - we all had other jobs and did this as a hobby (and in the slim hopes of one day getting noticed). We paid out of our own pockets for games, travel and everything. And I think that we were all the better f"
