"response to the Metal Gear section, I have come to realize how much the overall story played a key role towards attracting me. Solid Snake is of course the star of the series you can say, but their were so many changes made to lead and even supporting characters that I can't help but feel grateful. In Halo (I'm using this as a pure example) Master Chief has played such a vital role in the series that it just isn't the same without him, thus making it harder to expand the franchise (may Halo ODST will make a fine attempt). Whereas in Metal Gear 3 for example I loved Big Boss as a character. Sure he looks exactly like Solid Snake but with an eye patch and different name but the story and setting made it feel like it's own game with it's own purpose. Maybe there was some sort of method to Kojima-san's madness. It helped me not grow fatigued with the series cert"

I remember going to a local candy store right around the corner where I lived and getting introduced to games like Battletoads, Samurai Showdown, Cow Boys of Moo Mesa, Street Fighter II, Marvel Superheros and so on. Then prices went up and suddenly the store was sold to someone else.
