The festive season has arrived and over the next few weeks I will be involved (as I hope you will be as well) in a process of visiting friends, eating turkey, pulling crackers and drinking silly amounts of alcohol all in the spirit of Christmas.
And with that in mind, I begin to reflect over the year of 2009 as the month of December always seems to pass too quickly and suddenly I am left wandering how I grew in width for another consecutive year.
Firstly, I would like to wish everyone in the Bitmob team and community a wonderful festive season. Your thoughts and advice have led me to explore and understand my own enjoyment of gaming as well as help me discover and embrace games across multiple platforms and genres.
Secondly, good ol’ Rockband shakes off the dust and cobwebs and starts to don on its Christmas cheer. Even though I know many of my non gaming friends and relatives will be rockin’ all night long when I host my Christmas dinner, I can’t help but feel a tad angry and selfish as I realise – over this month - I will temporarily be shelving my Dragon Quest adventure, my silly journey to go for platinum in fallout 3 and my ever growing lootin’ addiction in Pandora for a plastic guitar to rock it out with family members I see once a blue moon.
There’s much to love about Christmas but the Christmas jumper and the alcoholic uncle is not one I look forward too. I also despise the fact that from this point on, my radio station will be playing Christmas tunes on loop 24/7 and everything I do will require me to sacrifice my precious gaming time. So before I leave the gang and crew at Bitmob for a short hiatus I hope you will all:
Eat, Drink and be Merry.
I look forward to more Bitmob adventures in the New Year but until Then…
Merry Christmas (I know it’s a tad early) and Rock ON (whether you want to or not)!!!!
