8-Bit Left 4 Dead

In case you haven't heard, Left 4 Dead 2 drops today. Considering that the majority of the 360 user base is still face down in Modern Warfare 2, chances are good that other news just isn't relevant enough to get your attention. In order to remind you, we bring you this fun project by Eric Ruth: a PixelForce NES de-make of Left 4 Dead [via Joystiq]:

Ruth intends to release the game in January of 2010 as a free PC download. This is pretty much what we expected an 8-bit Left 4 Dead to look like, but that doesn't make it any less interesting. It only supports two players at a time, however. So it is more like Left 2 Die....
