An Introduction

Like many of you enjoying the Bitmob scene, I've come to support the writers and editors that  were once apart of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM). I owe a lot to the sadly deceased magazine. Not just because it was the magazine that helped solidified my insurgence into the "hardcore" gaming scene. But because I wouldn't be here right now, working on becoming a better writer.

While Bitmob is full of great people, so is 1up. And hell, 1up can store my blogs too. But I'm here to stay for one reason: a chance to stand-out. Selfish, right?  Serving time at 1up made me realize that a rather large social-circle indirectly controls the most "Popular Blogs" section on the front-page. Friends comment on a friend's blog, and they then return the favor. No one else was getting a chance to shine. And what's the point of writing a 700-word blog if no one will read? Thankfully, Bitmob takes the approach of quality over quantity.

Not that I'm a top-notch writer, but I'm determined to work twice as hard just to get to the front-page. No blogs about what I've been eating, or when I last took a crap, I'll aim for quality. And maybe one-day I'll reach that lofty-goal!
