Another week, another non-Giant Bombcast topic. Not that I have anything that I hate about the Giant Bombcast. It was voted best podcast of the year for god sakes. I focus on it later, OK? Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Game Scoop is without a doubt the best podcast IGN offers. Not only is it funny as hell, but its uh... funny as hell. Yes this is not the best podcast for in depth looks into NPD charts and the like. Its much faster paced then something like 4 Guys 1UP (which I'll be covering soon) and, as a result, feels original.
I always though IGN always got a bad rap in other outlets. Its called the evil empire of Games Media and is blasted for being faceless. I agreed with them till I listened to this. The podcast is full of energy and the hosts never feel tired (coughRebelFMcough). All the hosts are people who I'd love to hang out with in real life and hope to work with sometime in the future. So I never got why the Kotaku Video Podcasts never got popular. I though they were a original idea in a sea of "lets get drunk and talk about games and BOOBS" podcasts. So I was happy when Kotaku put this gem out. It may be out of date but it is still cool to hear what Valve was talking about back when L4D came out.
