Bitmob Meet-Up...Part Two?

Our pile of game goodies is growing out of control. Most of these freebies will be going out to our followers on Facebook, Twitter, and BitmobTeam Twitter (details here), but we have enough extra to consider handing everything out like Halloween candy at another Bitmob Meet-Up. (Remember this madness?)

We would love to do something on the East Coast. But since we don't have the budget to fly anywhere, and New York is a bit far for us to walk, we'd have to do this in San Francisco again...for now. One idea we had, however, is to have "priority" prize drawings for out-of-towners. If you're coming in to visit us from far away -- say Reno, NV or farther (to pick a city totally at random) -- you could have a much higher chance of winning something for your troubles.

We're not 100% on having a Bitmob Meet-Up Part Two...just putting the feelers out to gauge interest. Comment below and let us know (including what month would be good for something like this).

Sorry everyone for whom this is not an option! We'll keep a steady flow of prizes going out all over for ya via our Bitmob Giveaways.

No one is gonna wanna show once they find out that the kitty in the picture (Sadie) won't be hosting the event. smilies/sad.gif

Dibs on the Hudson backpack.

I could maybe fly out next year any month that isn't March. So that's 11 months to choose from.
Travis McReynolds , November 04, 2009
If I send my grandmother there, will you give her the prize?
J. Cosmo Cohen , November 04, 2009
Shoe, I think you should fly us all out there in your private jet.
Brian Shirk , November 04, 2009
Oh man, Shoe you're really going to make me fly out again? How about in addition to this, I start setting something up for PAX East in March?
Derek Lavigne , November 04, 2009
It's meet up part three because of the PAX meet up... unless that just didn't matter to you guys
Jazz English , November 04, 2009
You should have it in Las Vegas, it is just a coincidence that I happen to live here.
Tabitha Sheehan , November 04, 2009
Cute cat. I hope things work out for another community meet up. Let me know if you guys ever make it to Canada for some reason.
David Matos , November 04, 2009
Wish I could come. I would love to meet everyone. However it's a bit far for me.
Chelsea O'Neill , November 04, 2009
I do love how Sadie is in the pic though. She's a great model. smilies/cheesy.gif

I really regret missing the first meet up.
Evan Campbell , November 04, 2009
Hm...I could probably go down to the Bay anytime, really. And I will, for you guys, but the weeks around Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years would be awesome for me as I'll already be traveling down there.

I'm hella down for this again, but it would be nice to have it in a place that isn't so loud this time. That way quiet and beautiful butterflies like Demiann and I don't have to yell at each other again.
Michael Pangelina , November 04, 2009
Buckshot again, please.

(I like bars that I can walk home from - kthx - and cheap beer).

I recently posted a similar suggestion:
http://www.bitmob.com/index.ph...t-to-.html

I have an open ticket on Continental. The only catch is that I have to choose the date and destination before the end of January 2010.

I'm from Mexico and I've heard awesome things about my friends that've been to San Francisco. So I would be totally psyched to hit SF and Meet the Mob.

Right now my mind is deciding between Chicago or San Francisco, but if the Meet Up gets confirmed the decision would be a whole lot easier.

I'll keep coming back to this post to see what goes down.

Peace out guys!
Roberto Flores , November 04, 2009
I re-phrase: "I've heard awesome things about San Francisco from my friends that've been there."

Jajaj what I initially wrote didn't make any sense.
Roberto Flores , November 04, 2009
Let's do it! I was just telling my coworkers about the wonders of chicken-fried bacon...

And for you East Coasters: Something Bitmob-related will definitely go down at PAX East in March.
Brett Bates , November 04, 2009
I'll take the PS3 Tekken 6 from yall goodie bag. I'll pick it up in SF.
Juan Letona , November 04, 2009
If it's in Frisco, I'm totally down for trying to be there! I say 'try' because I'd be coming from Vegas. :x
Kim NaRae Mauchley , November 04, 2009
Everyone is in Frisco these days: the gays, the bitmob staff. The Los Angeles area is just not queer enough these days it seems. No bitmob meet up for us. We get down pretty good but I'll admit West Hollywood don't got nothing on The Castro District. smilies/sad.gif We try.
Joshua Garcia , November 04, 2009
@Kim @Joshua It's San Francisco, San Fran, or S.F. (or simply The City). It's never called "Frisco."
Jason Wilson , November 05, 2009
My God, I want to participate in this. And if you hold it in SF then I can garauntee it's possible to make it, providing it takes place on the weekend. I went to the 1up meetup at Comic-Con and didn't have much fun. You show up twenty minutes late and everyone is already talking and drinking and you feel like a gatecrasher. At least, I did.

Anyways, let's do this! And let's do it sooner than later.
Tom Heistuman , November 05, 2009
Need some canadian contests too!! Pllleeeaassee!!!!!!!!
Chris , November 05, 2009
I would TOTALLY be there if this was in a place such as.. Jacksonville, FL. TOTALLY. It also just so happens I live there.

Seriously, though. If I still lived in SF, I'd be there.
Keith Schloemer , November 05, 2009
I would love to go.But only 2 things stop me:School and the fact that the trip would cost me in excess of 5000 euro lol.Why must Ireland be so far from America?
Ultan O'Connell , November 05, 2009
@Ultan Screw those Atlantic waters! I say you hitch a ride on a magical dolphin and sail into the Bay in style. It is the Atlantic right? And Ireland hasn't killed all the dolphins? Or am I thinking of Japan? Damn, my geography is all messed up.
Tom Heistuman , November 05, 2009
Mila and I are down again. But considering the holidays are comming up, after x-mas might be best.
Joshua McCluskey , November 05, 2009
How about a Midwestern meet-up?
Rachel Jagielski , November 05, 2009
I'll be there AND I'll be square!
Aaron Thomas , November 05, 2009
The thing is, *most* of us won't be at PAX East. Looks like just Brett for now. But if Brett, Derek, and a several others want to do this and people still want to meet up, we won't mind sending a bunch of goodies with Brett to the East Coast to give out to some of our community members out there!

More feedback on that here, please.
Dan Hsu , November 05, 2009
Assuming my coaching schedule permits, trips up to the Bay on weekends are relatively managable whenever.

Plus, I'll try and finish an EP of my music for the next meet-up and give out copies for free as additional swag!
Alejandro Quan-Madrid , November 05, 2009
@Tom-Yeah it is the Atlantic.I'm pretty sure we like Dolphins here.In fact I believe theres one that lives off the coast and regularly comes up to "meet" humans.

But yeah, really wish I could come to this, but it'll be another while before I can.
Ultan O'Connell , November 05, 2009
I'll be at PAX East as well. Can't wait for it. If you do a Bitmob Meetup 2 out west, well, I hope you guys have fun. I probably won't be able to afford it. I urge anyone who want to go to go!
Jeffrey Michael Grubb , November 05, 2009
@Kim @Joshua It's San Francisco, San Fran, or S.F. (or simply The City). It's never called "Frisco."

MYTH, I SAY, MYTH!

Although, where I come from we just call it "The Sucka Free".
