Blip Festival 2009, the annual celebration of game-inspired chiptune music, art, and film, is in New York City. We are not. Are you?
We're looking for Bitmob community writers and videographers to cover this three-day event (Dec. 17-19). How you cover it is up to you -- maybe you'll interview some of the artists, shoot your favorite set, or just take a lot of cool pictures -- but we plan to promote the best stuff to the front page of Bitmob. Hit the jump for details....
In addition to the packed concert schedule, Gaijin Games (makers of the Bit.Trip series) and Robotube Games are holding the first and maybe-annual Battle of the Brands on Thursday, Dec. 17, at the festival venue. Each team will create a game in one day, and release it to the public. Collaboration, competition, I'm not sure about the details and I don't think they are either, but I have a feeling it's one of those situations where everyone wins.
Gaijin's ever-quotable Alex Neuse will be on hand, and told me he'll be happy to answer questions (and presumably, talk a little smack). He's a friendly dude, don't be shy.
We may even be able to get you a press pass if you're a regular or semi-regular Bitmob contributor. Contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to follow up on that.
