Games give you the opportunity to play out situations you'd normally never experience. When given a difficult decision, do you stick to your personal values? Or find yourself making a decision you wouldn't normally support?

Intelligent Systems' addictive little puzzler is easily one of the 3DS' best games.

While American Nightmare brings several improvements to the table, it lacks too much content to satisfy anyone but Alan Wake fans.

Now that online multiplayer is a huge part of our games, why do so many modes look and play the same?

Rumors say that Mass Effect 3 might feature new gameplay modes to appeal to a wider audience. Is that such a bad thing?

Does the interactive nature of games prevent us from remaining scared after play time ends?

"My XBL tag is "Guy Who Rages" and PSN ID is "Madhouse_Dan." I can't say I put much thought into either of the two. The only reason I don't have numbers or x's is for clarity's sake."

"I already posted this on the GB side of this article, but just to double-tap:

When I edit a post on Bitmob, a duplicate post is made on GB unfiltered, resulting in several drafts of the same article filling up GB unfiltered.

EDIT: Oh, and after it was promoted to the front page, the other drafts still remained in GB unfiltered as well."

"Absolutely. But he's reducing the entire FPS experience to shooting someone in the head. Moments like that can make emotions rise. They won't be life-changing or anything, but you can find satsifaction in the little things, like making the shot.

If it's in multiplayer, I'll be glad my team won. A small sense of competition is sometimes all that's required.

EDIT: I just don't think games *have* to be insightful for me to enjoy them. Nor do I think realistic scenarios are the only way games can do the job. Deus Ex and Mass Effect let me kill plenty of people, and I still got something from those games."

"I used to go to MLG events back when Halo 2 was still cool, and I know the stereotype isn't always true. But I still don't think we should just lump competitive gaming with sports."

"Lumping MLG with other sports would just be an insult to athletes. If your definition of sport is broad enough to encompass all games (and beyond), then are "games" and "sports" completely interchangeable to you?

I'm going to go play some sports in my underwear now."

"That was difficult for me to do too. I didn't use either of the two much, but I ended up saving Ashley because I wanted to sleep with her.

Man, I am terrible."

"Your backlog makes me cringe, Mike. You have a lot of quality games on there. I'd say you should start with Shadow of the Colossus.

I don't think some of my games are more important than others to play, partly because I don't have a backlog. Not because I'm super good at games or anything, but because games are pretty much my only hobby. I also stopped sinking countless hours into online gaming. The only real "rule" I have is that I don't play any online multiplayer until I've beat my newest game. Online MP can be a huge time sink.

There usually aren't more than 1 or 2 big games a month anyway, at least until the holiday season rolls around. Then I'll usually save the colossal game like Skyrim till after I'm done with everything else."
