Amanita Design trusted a quirky alternative band called Dva to do make all of the music and sound effects for their latest game, Botanicula. If only more game designers would do the same.

Somewhere on the shelves of a dimly lit used-game store and in the furthest pages of Amazon's video games section, the one console future we were promised is growing...in reverse.

How can Sony make the name PlayStation synonymous with quality game experiences in the minds of the millions of players that only started taking the hobby seriously within the last generation or two? They can't. The PlayStation brand needs to die.

KneeBouncers.com will help satisfy your toddler's curiosity with that glowing screen you spend your day staring at. Don't believe me? Well, Bitmob is giving away a year's subscription to one lucky parent.

A gamer's need to defend their opinions might just be what is turning people off from the medium.

Even though I received The Saboteur as a gift, I immediately had snobby thoughts about it. How good could it possibly be with the middling reviews critics gave it? Turns out I loved it, and that led me to explore the disconnect between critics and gamers.

With recent titles like Costume Quest and Limbo employing cel-shading and silhouettes, it's clear that art teams are taking on new roles, tasked with not only making a game stand out but developing art styles that help complement the stories. One of these styles that has surprisingly taken off is the act of restoring color to a bleak, dark world.

I feel a strange urge to own weird relics from gaming's history. I would have bought a copy of E.T. for the Atari 2600 -- the game that caused the industry to crash -- but I didn't end up making the purchase because my Atari was still at my parent's house. I will probably seek it out at some point.

On every cell phone I have ever owned, I have purchased Tetris. Every single time I do, it barely ever gets played, but for some reason I just can't resist it's siren call. No matter how many times I've gotten a version that plays like complete ass, I keep telling myself the next one will be better.

I'm not crazy about open-world games. I stop playing most of them well before I ever finish. The one game I got much further in was Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but even then I gave up halfway through it. There are just too many things to do, and too many ways for me to get distracted from the main story.

"I love this. I probably wouldn't have figured out any of that stuff. You should have named this article, "Fez turned me into House"."

"My parents both went to Michigan State. I never gave a shit about football, so one time when we were buying a metal trash can for my bedroom I picked out the Michigan one because I like the colors the most. My mom refused to let me buy it because, "My dad would throw a fit." So for the rest of my childhood I had a Lions trashcan in my room because we couldn't come to an agreement. #random"

""This article is pretty bad, any article that insults galaxy isnt worth reading" is an out of line comment. It serves no purpose. You aren't discussing anything, you are just putting down the author.
At the same time, "This is a blatant troll, and I discourage anyone from replying to it." also isn't helping.
If you disagree with him, make a point. Don't just say, "This article is awful because I disagree therefore it isn't even worth reading." He also shouldn't have called you a troll in response. I'm just warning both of you to knock it off. That's it. Drop it now."

"Clearly you two can't get along. Tanto, please refrain from attacks like this. Your comments get reported a lot, but every time before they haven't really crossed the line because you're making some kind of point or argument. But here you're just attacking the writer and not backing up any sort of argument as to why you disagree. If you disagree then explain why, but leave out the attacks.
Carlos, if you think someone is trolling, then don't engage them.
You two should probably just avoid each other. You clearly rub each other the wrong way."
