"It's worth noting that Zuma is a nicely polished clone of a 1998 arcade game called Puzz Loop.

"Back in community college there was both a Puzzle Bobble and Bust-a-Move arcade cabinet on campus (same game, different localizations). I spent most of my spare time between class on one of these, and it was a great feeling to master the system (gotta knock down 17 bubbles at once for the max score bonus of 1310720, of course). It was always fun to have someone walk by and make a comment about how I look like I'm in a lot of trouble, then suddenly all the bubbles fall off the screen and huge numbers appear. In the end, I filled up the high scores list on both machines. The only thing better is when someone was silly enough to challenge me in vs mode.

I did have a buddy who was about as good, though. We played the Saturn version of Bust-a-Move 2X mostly. After one extended session, we learned how to play the main theme on saxophone and glockenspiel. The 2nd one has some great catchy ditties."
