"Bitmob kickstarted my career in video games and introduced me to good nerd friends like Shoe, Demian, and the rest of the Bitmob crew. So while I'm sad to see the name go, I'm really happy the spirit is living on over at GamesBeat. Here's to growing this already awesome community over there!"

"Congrats! Short of Shoe winning the lottery to continue funding Bitmob himself, this really is the best possible outcome for the site. Sure, it'll be sad to see "Bitmob" go, but it was the idea behind that drew the awesome community here (and gave people like myself an opportunity to work on video games for a living), and that's going to live on.
I can't wait to see how all this looks fully integrated into GamesBeat. "
