"I get favorites, too.  In Borderlands, after all was said and done... all the DLC was out...  my level was maxed out for the last time,  I had 4 guns that I never unequipped.   For hundreds of hours thereafter,  it was always the same set.  And of those 4 I had one favorite, one sick beautiful gun, that I used 80% of the time.

Working my way there again with Borderlands 2."

"I spend as much or more time researching and reading as I do playing. I care about writing well, and about knowing the subject matter, just as I care about how well I play. It is sometimes a grind, sometimes a marathon, and a lot of detective work. But I tend to do my best work when it involves something I love, and writing about video games, I get that opportunity a lot.  =-)"

"Actually I think it's evident that it worked.  I mean, you've invited everyone on the internet to your workstation now! And I must say that the soft blue glow is very very attractive. But if you no longer want your computer or the lamp, they've got an open invitation to come live here.  =-)  (PS My laptop thinks your Mac is pretty hot.)

I got the Tarot deck... I pre-ordered from Gamestop. "

"Gotta hand it to the writer for picking some great music.  =-)  A little Alice In Chains and Tool added to that mix and our 90s experiences parallel... until I moved to England anyhow.

I remember Sega Genesis, Gabriel Knight (TBW), Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Sam N Max Hit the Road, Return to Zork, Myst, Caesar 2, ...and a lot of MUD games on BBS sites.

I remember someone called me a "gaming savant" for finishing someone's library of games in one day.

I don't like to think of things like "the one that got away." There's no earlier save to load and replay. I'm not sure it would be any better if there were, but I have a little girl, and every step and misstep I took brought her into my life. So, there's no going back and a lot less looking back. Having a kid teaches you what love really is... and so much romance of the past fades quickly away.  I still love the music and the games though."
